Iced coffee made with real coffee. How radically authentic is that?

apostrophe-iced-coffeeAs you can see from this enticing sign outside its Shoreditch (London) location, apostrophe, the UK café, which, according to its website, “fuses authentic boulangerie-patisserie food with a strong café culture and a modern, cosmopolitan environment,” now makes its ice coffee with real coffee.

What will they think of next, apple juice made with real apples?

    Perhaps the insidious rise of the Greek (Nes)frappe’s to blame for this?

    When will someone ban instant ‘coffee’? Perhaps when someone develops a satisfactory way of getting a semi-decent brew from coffee in a bag? Any coffee bag systems seem to be so weak they’re undrinkable and they’re probably too expensive to eradicate instant altogether. This needs work so that even builders on work sites have no excuse to use that disgusting power stuff. After this an international ban could be put in place. I suggest a motion at the next G20…
